Today, Adobe announced the brand new Creative Cloud Photoshop Photography Program. Photoshop World is going on as we speak, and at today’s keynote presentation, Adobe spoke about Creative Cloud and how cool it is and how easy it is to use and whatnot. The biggest news of the day, however, is about the launch of the new Creative Cloud Photoshop Photography Program highlighted here from Adobe’s blog:
Since introducing Photoshop CC, we’ve listened to feedback from a spectrum of our customers, from advanced professionals to casual enthusiasts. One common request was a solution specifically tailored for photographers. We listened, and at Photoshop World we’re announcing a special offer for our loyal Photoshop customers. Beginning today, customers who own Photoshop CS3 or higher are eligible for a special Creative Cloud membership offer that includes all of the following for just $9.99/month:
- Photoshop CC
- Lightroom 5
- 20 GB of online storage
- Behance ProSite
- Access to Creative Cloud Learn’s training resources
- Ongoing upgrades and updates
Adobe was very clear on their blog that the $9.99/mo is NOT an introductory price. It will be THE price for anyone who signs up before December 31, 2013. The new program will be available ‘in a couple weeks’ when Adobe introduces Lightroom 5.2.
Let us know what you think in the comments. To us, this seems like a pretty natural progression of the photography software industry. And with so much negativity towards Adobe as of late for the original Creative Cloud pricing, this seems to be a great alternative!
